So, there are actually people on this earth that can be Christian, yet be so... urgh.. Confusing, Unattractive... and well, downright frustrating. I'm talking about the kind of people that yell and scream about repenting your sins now or you'll pay for eternity, and if you or I don't, well, then we may burn forever in hell.

While I can see their motives, I don't agree. To most it doesn't come across that way. It doesn't appear to be very loving, and it's... well... kind of scary.

It's scary for two reasons.

One: That screamer and I get painted with the same brush. We do both share a passion for bringing people to Christ, however, our ways of going about attaining that goal are different. Two: it's just scarey and it doesn't show God's love.

Quite frankly, I don't think scare tactics work. I don't think it's what Jesus had in mind. Didn't Jesus say that He came to save the world, and not to condemn it? John 3:17 "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him."

He came to love us exactly how we are, while we were still sinners. And while the screamer thinks that he's spreading the good news. He's actually making people leary of Christianity.

To those people that may read this, that somehow came across my page. Just know this... God loves you and he's crazy about you. God loves everyone.

There's so much more that people can do besides scream "repent!" Try love. Try loving people the way that we are suppose to be.

God commands us to love.

John 13:34-35 "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

How are we as Christians doing anything to combat this stereotype of the "hellfire and brimstone" preacher unless we are loving? We need to love.... Not scream.

Warning, liberals wont find the following funny because they have no sense of humor. So, leave and get help.

Well, I wish there would be a better reason for me not posting lately... but the truth is I suck at time management and have no time to blog until usually the end of the week... mainly because I spend all my free time being diverted. But now I have some much needed rest time for the next month and a half. So here it is, a new blog. That being said, let's get into the good stuff.

Football season is in full stride. The playoffs are shaping up and this season has been, well, eventfilled. Who would've thought that the Steelers would be 11-1, the Dolphins would suck so badly, and that Payton Manning would challange Dan Marino's "unbreakable" record?
Most people thought the Steelers would suck. However, you can never completely suck in their division, because there's always the Bengals and Browns to play, and the Ravens offense is streakier than a glass window washed with crisco. So the Steelers will always be able to contend in that division. It wouldn't even matter if they had John Kerry at wide out.... er.... scratch that.
I'm pretty excited for this weekend. However, I need to find a fourth job so I can have some money for Christmas gifts. So if anyone wants some webwork or videos done, let me know. I'll see what I can do. I can also play you a song and maybe do a little dance. I'm reasonable. Ok, now that my shamless plug is done, I'm going to go get a glass of milk, some fruit and find something mildly entertaining.

So I was bored earlier this evening, and decided to do a Yahoo! search on my girlfriends name. here are some of the photo results.... mildly amusing. :)

nope, not my baby...
Once again, not her.... but hey there....
and my favorite.....

maybe later i'll look for me. :)

Two post in two days? Yes, I've gone crazy-go-nuts! This post unlike my last one has some meaning. I was surfing other peoples blog sites when I came across the most annoying thing ever.

Yeah, so she's totally insane. She stated that she "believes in equality for all people." Hey that's fine and dandy and a nice concept. However, I don't want my kids (when I have kids) to go to school and be forced to learn about "gay sex" because we should recognize they are equal.

Homosexual marriage is not a religion issue. It's a society issue. Ask any sociologist how to destroy a culture and they'll tell you to destroy their institutions. The family is the central institution to ANY society. Tamper with it, change it, make it worthless and guess what, the society becomes worthless as well.

The whole uproar about George W. Bush and his standing up for marriage and standing up for unborn babies assuredly does not infringe on your right to free exercise. If you're shaking your head, perhaps I should state that your wanting the government to condone homosexual marriage and partial birth abortion would be forcing your beliefs on me! If you think about it, and you don't even have to think all that hard, BUT we can have all the laws in the world made and it will NOT change what people do. If we were to outlaw guns, criminals will STILL find a way to get guns. If we were to have abortion become illegal, women (if they felt that deeply about it.) will still find a way to abort that child. The change comes within our own hearts, not in the law, not in the President, but within us and within our own hearts! It's about morals.

Ask yourself this, how long can a society last when morals crumble?

With that being said, she also stated that "(she) believes in God, and (she) also believes that (she) should keep it to herself and never, ever ask anyone else to believe what (she) believes;" that she "is grateful that she can make her own decisions about God, and that you can do so as well."

I'm glad she believes in God. That's awesome, but she wrote that she will "Keep it to herself" That's ridiculous. That's like getting a tennis court and not having anyone to play with. You've got everything you need, but nobody to share it with. It's basically useless.
So all I need to say about that is:

The Great Commission

Matthew 28:16-20
Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

That's all. I'm done. No more ranting for now. Liberals frustrate me.

This post is totally random. I just really felt like I should post something.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

I miss hockey.
I played my guitar today.
Worked for 5 hours.
I miss my friends.
I still miss hockey.
Pepsi Vanilla is better than Vanilla Coke.
George W. Bush is better than John F'n Kerry.
Life is better with hockey.
I have a picture of my friend Jeremy from camp sleeping.
Here is my
left shoe

and here's a song I wrote this summer..... sorry for wasting your time.

Away With You
I'm struggling to stay afloat on this wave of life

I'm sinking even further than I'd like.
I'm coping with a loss, of a love so bold.
Sometimes I just don't know which way to go.

So I cry
To take me away
To somewhere where I'll find my place
and I know
These tears they will fall onto my pillow
Tonight I'll go
Away with You.

Away with You
Away with You

It's alway best to know just what you have before you throw it away
So take all your worries and leave all your problems behind
I'm reaching out my hand and hoping that you'll be the One to pull me
back up to land again.

So I cry
To take me away
To somewhere where I'll find my place
and I know
These tears they will fall onto my pillow
Tonight I'll go
Away with You.

The end

ROAD TRIP!
I am totaly excited. The other day I got an email from a friend of mine from the summer camp at which I work. He asked me if I can come to Cumberland, Maryland to lead a worship service for them (affiliation undisclosed for many reasons legal and personal.) because they are doing an evangelistic community outreach and yada yada. So I asked a few friends if they wanted to do it too and we can go on a road trip. A ROAD TRIP! So I ended up asking them what kinda system that they had for monitors and whatnot. Turns out they don't even have anything. So I called up my church and asked to use the travel system (which is a pretty sweet 24 channel soundboard with JBL/EON speakers. It's a mini-masterpiece). Oh how I love that system if you couldn't tell. I'm a big geek when it comes to concert sound. Ok, I'm a big geek in general about a lot of things. Ok, i'm just a big geek. Anyways, they hooked me up with the gear, and tomorrow night the 5 of us (Amelia, Matt, Christian, Carrie and myself) are leaving after church and heading on over to Morgantown to crash at our friend Kellys house for the night and when we wake up we'll leave for Cumberland. We have 75 minutes of worship songs to pick out and we only have about half of that accounted for thus far. Good thing the event is 2 days away. I want to hit every McDonalds on the way to Cumberland. I could eat the two cheeseburger meal until I turn into a two cheeseburger meal. Which reminds me of the movie "Super Size Me" well, with that in mind, maybe I won't stop at every McDonalds. Well, I hope for a safe trip and an event filled weekend. Hopefully we can bring someone to know Christ. :)

Hey, this blog thing is pretty cool.
I may post the occasional wicked-cool stuff here for all my ultra-cool fans to read. They will hang on my every word, wondering what kind of cool thing I will say next. Maybe I will say that I am tired and am going to go to bed now. Maybe I will tell you about the time where I was kicked by a cow..... errrr maybe not. Maybe you will just have to hang on my every word until next time. Until then, you'll just have to sit at home and watch reruns of Full House. Oh that Uncle Jesse had some sweet hair.... I mean. All The Girls.... Oh yeah, I gotta go do something now that has absolutly nothing to do with watching Full House which is on in 10 minutes....
*gone*
