Dude, the Penguins are going to destroy lives. I've never been so excited for hockey to start in all my life.

First off the Collevtive Bargining Agreement is a perfect fit for the NHL. The smaller market teams in the NHL now have a chance to compete with bigger markets in getting talent which makes things much more fair. No longer will money make the team, but teamwork and style will have a bigger impact.

Then to top it off, we get some sweet free agents and draft picks.
Sidney Crosby, Marc Andre Flurey, Evgeni Malkin, Zigmund Palffy, Andre Roy, Mark "the wrecking ball"Recchi, Sergei Gonchar and Jocelyn Thibault. Oh I'm geekin out! WOOOO!

iTunes is awesome. Especially when people at work drink more Mt. Dew in a day than they take breaths. They give me the caps that win free songs. I downloaded a whole lot of stuff. Over twenty free songs in the past two days. Sheer awesomeness. My palm itches. I'm gonna go itch it now.

...ok I am back... later peeps!

Man-o-man am I ever so tired. This whole day light savings time change really screws me up. It's only Tuesday and I feel like it's Friday, but I felt like that yesterday too. However, on the upside, it's been so beautiful outside. I love the warm summerlike air. I woke up later than I expected this morning. Only had like twenty minutes to get ready for work. Which almost put a hinder on my getting into shape/saving money by not driving to work cause gas is expensive. I biked to work again today. I love it. I've been doing more running, biking and lifting lately. I feel tons better, and I feel like I'm getting back into shape. I hope the weather stays nice. Cause I wanna keep riding my bike and such. Ciao.

Came across this today and I thought it was amazing and I wanted to share it with ya'll!

Acting Out the Purposes of God by John Fischer
Chances are you’re not going to have an armed murder suspect who has just allegedly killed four people force you into your house and tie you up today at gun-point, but a 26-year-old single mom had that happen to her, and she behaved in a manner that could only be described as empowered by the Spirit of God. She calmly talked her captor into untying her so she could fix him breakfast and read to him from the Bible and from The Purpose Driven Life.

“You got out of that courthouse with police everywhere, and you don’t think that’s a miracle?” she told him. “You don’t think you’re supposed to be sitting right here in front of me… Your miracle could be that you need to be caught for this. If you go to prison, then you need to share the word of God with all the prisoners there.”

Would you have thought of that? Would you have thought that being tied up at gun-point by a convicted rapist and murderer was a part of God’s purpose for you and for him? I can’t say I would have reacted like that. But then again, if we are living a purpose-driven life, wouldn’t that be true of everything that happens to us? This woman chose to believe it, and what a time she picked to act!

There is a good chance you are going through something right now that seems a long way from the purposes of God. Well look at this situation and reconsider. Here’s a woman who assumed it was no accident that this happened to her. She could have freaked out or she could have assumed God was in it and treated it as destiny. This woman didn’t just believe; she acted on her belief.

I think we can all take some courage from this today. I know I have issues in my life that I have come to think of as somehow exempt from the purposes of God. Perhaps there’s another way to look at it. Ask yourself if there might be a purpose God has in what you are going through; and then ask God to show you what it is. His purposes begin to show up as we believe increasingly that we have an accident-free God and act accordingly. This single mom seemed to gain courage as she went along. That’s the courage that comes from finding out, as you go, that God is empowering you to fit into His plan for the universe -- for you and for those around you.

From the highest of heights to the depths of the sea
Creation's revealing Your majesty
From the
colors of fall to the fragrance of spring
Every creature unique in the song that it sings
All exclaiming

Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the
stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
All powerful, untameable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God

Who has told every
lightning bolt where it should go
Or seen heavenly storehouses laden with
snow
Who imagined the sun and gives source to its light
Yet conceals it to bring us the coolness of night
None can fathom

Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky
and You know them by name
You are amazing God

All powerful, untameable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly
proclaim
You are amazing God
You are amazing God
Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God

All powerful, untameable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God
Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
Incomparable, unchangeable
You see the depths of my heart and You love me the same
You are amazing God
You are amazing God

Which Napoleon Dynamite character are you?

Dude. I'm tator tots! That's.... awesome. I'm not even a person. Rock On!... Wait, tator tots don't go to Heaven! CRAP! I'm taking this test over!

2.01.2005

So I was told I never post much on my blog. Yeah, this is true. I feel like Pedro from Napoleon Dynamite... "I don't really have a lot to say." But sometimes I do. So for those occasions I post, but I try not to post if I have nothing really to say.

So before you read on into this mindless drabble. This post goes out to my homie
C-Lew. I finally posted. :)

Just so I can fill the void of not posting... Here are some things I've done lately...

  • Started a Purpose Driven Life Group.
  • Kicked some butt bowling with Compass.
  • Worked 56 Hours a week. (Yes it does suck as much as it sounds, do not let anyone tell you otherwise.)
  • Found some sweet sites to... well... call people Site 1 : Site 2
  • Broke it down
  • Shoveled Snow
  • Played Guitar
  • Got G-Mail (Thanks Shawn)

So yeah, a whole lot of stuff. Oh yeah, the G-Mail. It rocks! So, if you boil down these past two weeks. It's a lot of work... Mostly.

Sorry this isn't that great.. Nothing insightful... I just basically sold out.

I'm going to go do something to I can tell you all later. I feel like I should make up for you having to read this much of a post and learn nothing. My bad.

Wow what a weekend. I went to a Dare 2 Share conference in Columbus this weekend. It couldn't have been better. I got to volunteer to do security, and sometimes sold shirts and stuff. There were so many highlights, it's hard to even remember them all, but I'll just try and tell about a few.

Along with the Dare 2 Share conference there was another conference, it was an anime conference, they had about 6,000 people there from all over the U.S. Our conference had about 4,000, mostly from Ohio, Michigan & PA. The D2S Kids were taught how to share the Gospel at the conference, and how devine was it that there were 6,000 anime people there, with probably 3,000 of them skantily dressed. I'm serious, almost nothing on. The kids got the opportunity to witness and share the Gospel with these anime kids. On on occasion, when I was working at the doors to let the D2S kids into the conference an anime kid would come and ask me what they were doing and I would get the chance to tell them a little bit about God. In between events I would go and try to stir up conversations with the anime kids to learn a little bit about why they like what they do so much. If you saw the costumes, you'd realize how passionate these people are. They go all out. If they would put that much effort into following Jesus it would be amazing... and if some Christians put that much dedication and desire into their walk, it too would be amazing. I'm not kidding folks, they really go all out. And are way into it.

One kid I asked told me a little about why he liked it, so I asked him what most of the storylines revolved around. Here was his answer. "Well, most of the movies have a good guy that trys to save innocent people from evil spirits." My reply, "Kinda like Jesus... So basically good vs. evil." Then he said, "you know, I've never thought along those lines before."

Adding to the event was the David Crowder Band. These guys are amazing. The D2S kids were jumping up and down so hard that they literally shook the stage and the arena. It felt like an earthquake. Kinda scary, but so awesome to see them worshiping God so intense. After worship, I got a chance to talk to the band members. I asked Dave to sign my 1986 Chrystler Lebaron.... and he agreed! He told me that "this was an historic moment in autographs. No one ever signed a '86 Lebaron I'm sure of it." So he hooked me up with directions to bring my car to the loading area in back. I asked if he was going to be around for about 10-15 minutes. He said yes. It took me forever to find the area, but I finally did, after about a half hour. I missed him, he left like 5 minutes before I got there. However I did get one of B-Wacks drum sticks signed by the entire band as well as this sweet email when I woke up this morning...

"sorry my directions were faulty. we'll hopefully make it happen sometime down the road. thanks for your kindness and encouragement. it was fun hanging briefly.david "

How cool is that? DCB are amazing artist and really humble and nice guys. The weekend was an unforgetable experience. I also got to talk to some friends that I haven't seen for a long time. Well, I'm out. Later
